How StrataMail Works

- Incoming emails first go through the SpamWeeder Premium system to be checked for spam and viruses.
- Suspicious emails are sent to a spam quarantine, which can be reviewed later by email users or administrators.
- Legitimate emails are sent on to the StrataMail system.
- All connections to the mail server are monitored by a firewall appliance. Unauthorized connections are blocked.
- Employees can check their emails via the web-based interface or configure their email client of choice to send and receive emails via POP3 or IMAP.
- Outgoing messages will also be filtered if outbound filtering services are enabled.
